TT 2019 set for official launch

Fortnight festival only 9 weeks away

The great and the good of the road racing world will descend on the Villa Marina for the official launch of the 2019 TT later.

A number of announcements are set to be made throughout the day today, including this year's race entry and starting numbers.

Leading riders will face a Q&A session in the Royal Hall this evening as preparations for the TT fortnight step up a gear.

From absolute lap record holder Peter Hickman to 23-time winner John McGuinness, it already looks like a star-studded line-up for the 2019 festival.

TV work, photo shoots and interviews will all be taking place on the Island today before the official launch show gets underway at 7.30pm.

The event is open to members of the public who'll be able to get first-hand insights into how their heroes are shaping up ahead of the new season.
