Rider renews commitment to Northern Ireland-based squad
Motorcycle racer, Mike Browne has renewed his commitment with the Russell Racing by Boyce Precision Engineering team for the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races.
It sees Browne enter a third consecutive year working with the Northern Ireland-based squad which is expanding to contest more races on the Snaefell Mountain Course this year.
Among the changes, the team will enter the 1000cc races this year with Browne to ride on board the team's Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR machinery.
Elsewhere, rider and squad will continue together in the Supersport races but with a change of machine for Browne who'll now contest those races with a next-generation Yamaha R9.
On this latest chapter, Browne says: "I’m really pleased to be continuing with Russell Racing. We’ve built a great relationship over the last couple of years, and the programme for 2026 is a big step.
"The R9 is an exciting prospect, and having competitive machinery across all classes gives us a solid platform to push for results.”
During Browne's previous two meetings with Russell Racing by Boyce Precision Engineering team at the TT, he finished 12th in the Supersport TT Race 2 in 2023 before managing two top-ten finishes a year later - crossing the line eighth and seventh in the Supersport TT Race 1 and Supersport TT Race 2 respectively.
Elsewhere, team owner, Alistair Russell, adds: "The TT is the focal point for us, and this year’s programme reflects how seriously we’re taking it.
"Mike has the experience and the pace to deliver across every class, and we’re confident the package we’ve put together will allow us to keep moving forward."
The 2026 Isle of Man TT Races are due to take place from Monday, 25 May until Saturday, 6 June.
