Vagabonds were undone by a bigger and heavier Ashton on Mersey pack as they went down 31-6 on the road in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One.
A depleted Vagabonds team actually led 6-0 at half-time courtesy of two Leigh Kennaugh penalties but as they game progressed the big Ashton forwards gradually ground them down.
