Advantage Douglas Celts in Shield
Western Vikings beat Castletown 43-24 at Poulsom Park on Saturday to book their spot in the Shimmin Wilson Bowl final, where they will play Emerging Nomads.
Danny McElroy ran in two for Vikings and there were also tries from Pete Crowe, Sam Tarpy, Tom Brummit, Oliver Creasey and Jack Goodwin with Ryan Burke kicking four conversions.
Morgan Armstrong-Paton went in for two of Town’s tries with Darren Davies and Mick Shipley getting the others and Harry Dawson kicking two conversions.
Defending champions Douglas Celts saw off rivals Southern Nomads 22-12 at King William’s College to move clear at the top of the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield standings.
Daryn Thompson bagged two for Douglas with Harry Hewson and Charlie Henthorn getting the others and Hewson also kicking one conversion.
Ally Kelly and a penalty try made up Nomads’ total.
