Isle of Man on 2026 calendar after inaugural event last year

The World Downhill Skateboarding Championships (WDSC) look set to return to the Isle of Man in 2026.

After making its debut on the championship calendar last year, the Island is currently scheduled to host round two of this year's series from Friday, 3 July to Sunday, 5 July.

In total, there are currently five rounds penned in for this year's championships with the others due to take place across Turkey, USA, Brazil and El Salvador.

Last year's inaugural Manx meeting saw competitors take on a 1.31km course on the Tholt-y-Will Road, starting near Sulby Reservoir and finishing near the Tholt-y-Will B&B.

Full details of this year's course are yet to be revealed, however, WDSC on social media says 'racing moves onto one of the most legendary courses in motorsport history, the iconic TT roads through Ramsey.'
