'New era' in IoM industrial relations

The chief minister has heralded what he calls 'a new era in industrial relations' across government.

From Tuesday, the Civil Service Commission and the Whitley Council are no more and will come together under the newly formed Public Services Commission.

The body will settle pay and conditions for public sector.

Allan Bell says having a single employing body is a far more effective structure for staff and better value for money for the taxpayer.
