Sunday races could promote TT worldwide

Changes to the way the TT is run could increase its exposure worldwide.

So says North Douglas MHK John Houghton, who's Road Races Bill underwent its third reading in the House of Keys yesterday (Tuesday).

It could be implemented in time for TT 2017.

Part of the bill includes provisions for scheduled racing on a Sunday - which could previously only take place in the event of a cancelled stage earlier in the week.

Mr Houghton hopes that such a move will have wider benefits.
