Insurance issues blamed as event cancelled

It's been announced there'll be no Ulster Grand Prix this year.

Organisers say 'despite recent positive negotiations with stakeholders of the event' there's not enough time to find a solution to ongoing insurance issues.

All motorcycle racing in Northern Ireland was cancelled last year including the North West 200 due to the problems - that, and Armoy, are set to return for 2024.

The Dundrod and District Motorcycle Club says it 'remains committed to reviving the Ulster Grand Prix and will continue to work towards achieving that goal'.
