TT could help sidecars become more popular, says Booth

Former competitor wonders if class could be diversified

It would be good if the TT could potentially do more to make sidecar racing more popular.

That's the view of former TT competitor, Mike Booth, who says the issue of numbers in the sport is something that is 'across the board' and extends beyond the Isle of Man.

This year's races attracted 33 sidecar entries in total but some were late withdrawals after the drivers were unable to secure passengers to join them.

Booth wonders if there are options to diversify the class in future to give more teams a chance of TT success:
