We were live today from the Manx Workshop for the Disabled, learning more about the people, their products and the positive effect that the workshop has had on the lives of so many people of all ages across the Island.
We spoke to Bernard, Kimmy, Sean, Mark and Jamie, who told us about their involvement with the charity and how it all began, the skills and attributes they learn while there, their love for the workshop and the impact it has had on them and how members, who are often referred from the Job Centre, are helped to get back in to the community, armed not just with practical skills but also a range of life skills.
Beth and Christy were also surprised with a wonderful gift at the end of the programme - a bespoke wooden chest engraved especially with the programme name, which they are already displaying with pride up at the radio station.
