Campaigner threatens legal action over Island's Assisted Dying Bill

An opponent of Assisted Dying is threatening legal action against the Manx government if it implements its legislation.

Earlier this week, Tynwald voted in favour of amendments to the Bill after the UK Ministry of Justice asked for more clarity of safeguarding protections before it could recommend it for Royal Assent.

But now, a campaigner says it would still breach the European Convention on Human Rights and plans to start legal proceedings if it's enacted.
