Endometriosis and the workplace is a real issue that still isn’t talked about enough.
Around 1 in 10 women are diagnosed with endometriosis, but there is a significant knowledge gap and many tests return false negatives. That means the true number of people living with the disease could be much higher.
Of those diagnosed, 1 in 6 have had to leave or been forced out of employment because of the condition.
Endometriosis is not “just bad periods.” It’s a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect the whole body and has a real impact on people just getting through the day.
This event will help with understanding:
• what endometriosis actually is
• how it affects people in the workplace
• what employers and colleagues can do to become more supportive and informed
If you’re an employer, manager, HR professional, or someone who simply wants to understand the condition better, please come along.
