Trail Guides will be available from the Douglas Libraries listing where the poems are and by which poet.
To enter, poems (maximum of 3) can be on any theme suitable for public display. They MUST be less than 25 lines (excluding the title) and they are £4 per poem. Poems are judged anonymously with the judges looking for poems that entertain, inspire, uplift, provide food for thought, raise a smile or touch a nerve.
Winners can see their poems, designed and printed onto A3 posters, displayed in a Douglas window, plus they receive an A4 copy of their poster, and a “Manx Reflections Booklet” from the IOM Poetry Society.
A special evening to launch the 10th IOM Poetry Trail will be held on Saturday 3rd February 2024 when all 10 winning poems are read out and ALL entries displayed in a celebration of poetry. This event will be free and held in St Georges Church, Douglas on Saturday 3rd February 2024 from 8pm.
