'Was Manx to be heard in Douglas?' (Row Gaelg ry-chlashtyn ayns Doolish?) An illustrated talk by Paul Lewin on what the 1901 Census tells us. In his talk Paul will follow the census enumerator through the street of Douglas seeking out those who were identified as Manx Speakers and will also look a bit more closely at some individuals with 'interesting' stories.
Meeting takes place at St Andrew's Church, Glencrutchery Road, Douglas. Parking on site.
Doors open 7.15pm - Non-members most welcome.
