Port Erin Jazz Festival 2023: Robin Nolan Trio

Port Erin Jazz Festival is back on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th October 2023! This event is being staged across 3 venues - The Erin Arts Centre, The Bay Hotel & The Falcon’s Nest Hotel and features a mixture of international jazz stars and home-grown talent.

Based in Amsterdam, The Robin Nolan Trio (RNT) is an all-acoustic gypsy-jazz band inspired by the legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt. The Trio has a decidedly contemporary feel and fire up their music with their own special 'je ne sais quoi'. Peppered with hypnotic rhythms and rippling melodic themes, RNT's repertoire features jazz standards from the greatest composers of the 20th century as well as an increasing list of original compositions. This will be red hot!

Led by multi-instrumentalist Mike Divers, the Blue Train Big Band's slick choreographed playing (and Hawaiian shirts!) stole the show last year! We immediately asked them back and can't think of a better way to open this year's festival. Imaginative, dynamic interpretations of modern big band tunes, guaranteed to get your feet moving.
