SCAREFEST Haunted Forest

If you go down to the woods this Halloween, you’re sure to scare yourself silly as Milntown Estate comes alive with the sounds and sights of ghosts, ghouls and the stuff of nightmares from Thursday 27th October – Sunday 30th October.

A terrifying mix of actors, animatronics, smoke, lighting & real flame effects as well as some very clever projection promises a chilling night never to forget – no matter how hard you try.

Will you be brave enough to knock on the red door ?
Will you have the nerve to brave the dark tunnel with your eyes open ?

Milntown Café & Restaurant will be open for a scarily good Halloween supper from 6pm – 10pm. Please contact them direct on 812321 to pre book tables etc in the restaurant.

You will enter the woods in small groups (Max 4 adults per group) from 6pm – 8pm (family and child friendly sessions) or from 9pm -11pm for the brave (strictly 12+) for a spine-chilling immersive walk-through experience. You will be given a survival briefing before you are sent on your way to follow a winding, dimly lit route through the petrifying overgrowth, down into the wicked woods, past the abandoned mill building and lake, and into the ghostly gardens where you will have to run the gauntlet.

Anyone with a disability is welcome to contact one of our team to see if we can cater for your needs as much as is practical, given the nature of the event and its surroundings it is not suitable for wheelchair users. Parking and toilet facilities available on site.

Scarefest takes place in the dark over uneven natural terrain in a forest with multiple flashing lights, strobes, real flames, projection and special effects. It is NOT suitable for people who have epilepsy, are pregnant, those with a heart condition or of a nervous disposition.

We advise that suitable outdoor footwear such as wellies and warm clothing should be worn. It gets muddy when it rains (Its a forest !!)

From 6pm – 8.00pm Scarefest is suitable for all the family, including young children.

After 9pm the evening will take a turn for the spookier as we ramp up the effects and prepare to scare you silly. From 9pm Scarefest is suitable for adults only (strictly 12+).
