The event, held on Friday, 1 August, was organised by fundraiser Billy Kewley.

A total of 22 teams from various organisations on the Isle of Man took part, raising in excess of £16,000

Mr Kewley told Manx Radio why he holds the event each year:

"If there's someone who's going to be putting their heart and soul into fundraising for Hospice, [Billy Kewley] is the man." - Tim Leeming

Tim Leeming, Governor of Hospice Isle of Man, gave his thanks to Mr Kewley and Rowany Golf Club:

Hospice CEO John Knight presented the prizes to the winning team.

He told Manx Radio what Mr Kewley's support means to the charity:

To help ensure more that more of the money raised goes towards Hospice, Rowany Golf Glub for the past three years has waived the green fees for the event.

Billy Newton is President of the club:

Geoff Corke is the Captain of Rowany Golf Club:

Emmet McQuillan took part as part of the Tower Insurance team:

The event at Rowany Golf Club coincided with the launch of the Hospice Grand Tombola. You can find out more on that HERE.
