The top penthouse apartment at the Mariner's Wharf development on the quayside at Peel has sold for £1.6 million.
The company behind the scheme, Street Heritage, says it's 'certainly a record for Peel', with Managing Director Jonathan Irving saying it confirms the town as the Island's property 'hot spot'.
Mr Irving says for years Peel has languished in the property doldrums while the rest of the Island has enjoyed real growth.
However, he believes people are now seeing the fantastic opportunities the town provides.
Mr Irving says contracts have been exchanged with a well known Irish artist and her husband, who say they find the location, with its views of Peel Castle, inspirational.
Street Heritage says it has sold 23 out of 25 units in the quayside development.
