AFD Group has installed a new Tesla Power Pack, a battery which can store enough energy from the business's solar array for it to be self-sufficient for one and half days.
At a cost of around £250,000, managing director David Dorricott admits its an expensive investment for the Mountain View Innovation Centre.
But he hopes it will show the rest Island what can be done with green technology:
