Charity receives £5,000
Lottery betting operator Annexio has donated £5,000 to Motiv8 in support of its GamCare Isle of Man counselling service.
Formerly known as the Isle of Man Alcohol Advisory Service, Motiv8 has broadened its remit to include drug awareness and support for those affected by problem gambling.
The GamCare scheme includes a special helpline and the offer of free, non-judgemental help and advice to anyone who is concerned their own gambling – or that of a friend or family member - is getting out of control.
The GamCare service is entirely reliant on donations.
