Island based international fiduciary services firm IQE has completed the launch of its new office in Mauritius with the appointment of its managing director.
Abdool Azize Owasil joins the board with two decades of experience in the industry behind him, including at the Mauritius offices of accountancy firms KPMG and PWC.
The new venture is part of the firm's international expansion strategy, designed to target private equity opportunities in Africa and India.
Managing Director at IQE's head office in the Isle of Man David Karran said the appointment of Abdool Azize, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, will mean the Mauritius office can now offer a full range of services, regulated by a well-regarded Financial Services Commission.
