Appointments highlight optimism for 2011

Isle of Man corporate service provider ICM Group has issued a highly optimistic forecast for 2011.

Director Mark Byrne says those clients with access to funds have decided that 'the bottom has been reached' .

Mr Byrne says that after the recent economic turmoil, life has 'quietly returned to the aircraft and yacht markets, fine art and commercial real estate', and his firm's corporate services are in demand.

Inter-Continental Management Ltd grew its head count by ten per cent last year, to reach 54.

As a mark of confidence, a series of appointments and promotions has been annouced.

Simon Roberts has become head of Dominion Crew Solutions Ltd, promoting the yacht management business; Sarah Fry has been promoted to group director and board member; Kim Dent takes up the role as head of corporate and fiduciary; and Tammy Norris has moved from the Channel Islands to join the group, as senior marine administrator.
