Argos offers IOM delivery for first time

Online retailer embraces IM postcodes

High street and online retailer Argos has lauched its first delivery service to the Isle of Man.

The firm says customers shopping its website argos.co.uk now have the option to enter an IM postcode, to purchase a range of 30,000 products.

Delievery to the door for orders up to 30kg is promised within two days, at the standard UK delivery cost of £3.95.

Courier firm Yodel will dispatch orders through local partners, including Isle of Man Post Office.

Argos, which used to have a store in Strand Street, is the UK's largest high street retailer online, and says it has nearly a billion website visits a year, with more than half the company's sales made online.

Divisional manager west at Argos Matt Hawkins said: "As a business we are continually looking at how to bring more affordable and convenient ways to shop to our customers, and this new delivery service to the Isle of Man does just that."
