Award for Dandara

BREEAM accreditation for Zurich HQ building

Local homebuilder Dandara has won a highly-respected industry award for the development of the new Zurich office at the Isle of Man Business Park.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme’s National Site Awards recognise those who have achieved the highest standards in considerate construction, and demonstrated the proactive measures they have taken to minimise the impact of their activities on the local neighbourhood, the public, and the environment.

Dandara was awarded a silver accreditation at the prestigious award ceremony which took place on Wednesday, 18th April at Plaisterers' Hall, One London Wall in London.

Project Manager of the Zurich development Len Arnold and Health & Safety Manager, Grant Howard attended the ceremony to receive the award on behalf of the site team which also included Louis Smith (site manager) and Rob Crookhall (site engineer)

Zurich’s new headquarters, completed by Dandara in April 2017, was the first major office development on the Island to receive BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology) accreditation. This internationally recognised standard improves the long-term sustainability of a building, helping to reduce emissions, protect the surrounding environment and enhance the well-being of those who work in them.
