
A local optometrist has won a national award from a UK charity.
Patricia Wild from Douglas has been named Optometrist of the Year at the Macular Disease Society’s Awards for Excellence.
Miss Wild was a founder member of the society’s Manx group and has been a key part of the campaign to provide treatment for sufferers on the island.
She’ll get her award at the Society’s annual London conference on September 22.
