Annual accolades for farmers and producers
The search is on for farmers and food producers who combine a go-ahead busines outlook with a passion for the Manx environment and local food.
Nominations in two categories have opened for the 2017 Food and Farming Awards, a scheme sponsored by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
Judges are looking for farmers who actively conserve the environment, have successfuly diversified their business and who farm in efficient and profitable ways.
Criteria for producers includes market focus, promotion of local food, competitiveness and resilience.
Nominations must be submitted by Friday 31 March and the winners will be revealed at the Royal Manx Agricultural Show in August.
