Firm claims Island first with contract-free home broadband
An Island telecoms provider has unveiled a new product it says will transform the market for local consumers.
BlueWave Communications is introducing an unlimited home broadband service over its 4G network.
Internet routers, which would normally need a phone line, instead work like mobile phones.
A similar product has been available in the UK for some time but this is billed as the first of its kind in the Isle of Man.
BlueWave Managing Director Stuart Baggs launched the contract-free, unlimited-broadband box to businesses and Manx media at The Forum on Mount Havelock in Douglas (28 July).
Mr Baggs told Chris Cave the new venture will offer Island residents a range of benefits:
