Manx produce sales boost at airport shops

Meet the buyer event for local firms at Noa

A helping hand's on offer for producers of Manx food, drink, crafts and gifts, keen to find new outlets to sell their goods.

The firm which runs shops at the airport is keen to stock a wider range of Manx products - and is reaching out to potential suppliers with a 'meet the buyer' event in Douglas.

Caterleisure bosses will at Noa Bakehouse between 4.30pm and 6pm to see what local producers - who should bring samples - have to offer.

It's part of DEFA's Food Matters strategy to expand the value of Manx produce to the local economy.

Latest figures show almost 804,000 trips in and out of the airport in 2016 - suggesting there's a large untapped market.
