Tax breaks for under-strength beers would be good for local breweries, according to the head of Bushy's.
Martin Brunnschweiler says new laws with higher taxes for super-strength brews and lower taxes for beers under 2.8 per cent would make him consider brewing a weaker beer.
However, the regulations, which came into effect in the United Kingdom at the start of this month, don't apply to breweries in the Isle of Man.
Mr Brunnschweiler says that means there will be no change in strength for his beers, at least for the time being:
