Public and private sectors join forces
KPMG, Appleby and Continent8, with the support of the Department of Economic Development, have joined forces to co-sponsor the Isle of Man's new start-up business accelerator, named ‘BRIDGE’.
It has been founded to encourage entrepreneurship in the Isle of Man and investment into local high-growth companies supporting government's Enterprise Development Scheme.
BRIDGE supports Isle of Man-based start-ups and high-growth businesses (or those looking to relocate businesses to the Island) by bridging the gaps between entrepreneurial talent and the support start-ups need in order to reach their full potential and thrive.
BRIDGE was launched at ISLEXPO in May, and since then has met with more than
35 start-ups and entrepreneurs – either already on the Island or looking to move here.
The businesses have been seeking funding ranging from £50,000 to $6 million.
