Producer Terence Ryan, who shot the Brylcreem Boys in the Isle of Man, has announced he is to remake the film as a TV series.
But the adaptation of the 1998 movie won't be coming to Manx shores, as he is hoping to produce the series in Limerick.
The Brylcreem Boys starred Billy Campbell, Angus MacFadyen, Jean Butler and Gabriel Byrne, and told the story of Ireland's neutrality during World War II.
Mr Ryan wanted to film the original in Ireland but shooting relocated to the Isle of Man after that fell through.
