Local firm assesses budget priority
In less than a week's time Treasury Minister Eddie Teare will present his final budget of the current Manx parliament.
Ahead of autumn's general election, he's expected to outline the administration's progress in meeting its triple aims - to balance the budget, grow the economy and protect the vulnerable.
Mr Teare must convince voters, local business sectors and potential external investors that public finances are under control and efforts to expand the economy are paying-off.
He will deliver the 2016 budget to Tynwald next week (16 Feb).
Island accountancy firm Harding-Lewis is among firms in the financial services sector convinced further public spending cutbacks are necessary, to produce sustainable, balanced budgets long-term.
