No postal counter from November
The closure of the post office in Port St Mary later this month will not affect the newsagents in the village.
Calvert Newsagents has confirmed it will continue to provide its services irrespective of the outcome surrounding the postal counter which is currently based in the shop.
This week Isle of Man Post Office confirmed the sub-postmaster, Jeff Calvert, had terminated his contract and no one else had applied to take it over.
In a statement Mr Calvert said it was 'business as usual' and he, and his team, would continue to provide 'all the products and services which we have established over the years in the newsagents'.
