
A new professional group for the Island's 50 or so architects is hoping to engage the Manx public in a debate about what makes good design.
The new Isle of Man Society of Architects held its inaugural event at Noa Bakehouse last night, where guests ranged from teachers and artists to planners and politicians.
The society known as SofA has brought over a display of short-listed entries in last year's Architect's Journal Small Projects Competition.
The exhibition features diverse designs - from a child's garden den to a city centre public building.
The exhibition can be viewed for the next three weeks at the cafe in Fort Street.
