
Talks between the Manx government and the Steam Packet will take place early next year to see if lessons can be learned from recent disruption to services.
Chief Minister Allan Bell confirmed he met the company's chief executive Mark Woodward on Tuesday to hear how the company planned to maintain sailings to and from the Isle of Man in the period up to Christmas.
After the meeting, Mr Bell said a combination of gales and technical problems with the Ben-my-Chree had caused regular delays and cancellations, and most members of the public understood the position.
