CRHS students hone business skills

Immersive enterprise clinic for youngsters

Budding entrepreneurs at Castle Rushen High School have swapped normal lessons this week for a two-day business brainstorm which has seen them hone skills in budgeting, planning and promoting.

Year 8 students have been set an enterprise challenge in a venture which involves local firms sending mentors into school to give master classes and pass on know-how.

Groups of youngsters have been given a product to advertise, and primed to prepare a promotional package including a logo, radio advert, press release and launch event.

Organisations including Beach Buddies, the One World Centre, Adventurous Experiences and the Apple Orphanage are all taking part.

Today (11 May) they'll decide which groups' ideas are best after a final presentation by the students.
