
Island businesses are being urged to raise concerns about windfarms in the Irish Sea with the Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber chief executive Mike Hennessy is due to meet developers of two windfarm projects for a second time, to discuss potentially damaging effects on shipping routes between the Isle of Man and the UK.
Mr Hennessy is concerned Centrica's proposed Irish Sea windfarm and Dong's plan to extend its existing Walney farm could restrict the Steam Packet and other carriers' services to the detriment of Island-based companies, especially in bad weather.
Consultations are ongoing between the developers, the Manx government, the Steam Packet, Travel Watch and Chamber of Commerce.
