No wings to potential deal with Stobart Air
Irish airline CityJet has said it won't acquire Stobart Air, the carrier previously known as Aer Arann, after several months of negotiations.
Stobart, which under franchise agreement runs several Flybe services from Ronaldsway, has enjoyed expansion in 2016, and expects to carry more than 1.6 million passengers by the end of the year.
Talks with CityJet have been underway since late 2015.
In a statement, the Stobart Group's board: ".. has concluded that the agreement ... is not in the commercial interest", but plans to expand its base at London Southend Airport are continuing.
