Four-star gold award status given to Douglas hotel
A Douglas hotel is the Island's first to gain a four-star gold award.
The Claremont was given the status by Quality in Tourism, the assessing body for VisitEngland.
The accolades come after the hotel was listed in the Michelin Guide for Hotels and Restaurants 2015 and being named as the Isle of Man's Leading Hotel by the World Travel Awards.
Managing Director of Sleepwell Hotels Mark Wilson says he's extremely proud of his team, and the test now is to maintain the standard.
