Co-op considering delivery service

Delivery partners being sought

The Manx Coop is currently looking into carrying out an online home delivery service for customers, amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

It could be trialled at up to four stores on the Island, working in a similar way to UK services Delivroo and Uber Eats where customers can order 'in the moment', pay online and receive their deliveries soon after.

The service would operate within a limited mileage radius of the stores concerned.

Manx Co-op is asking any taxi or 'small drop' delivery firms who would be interested in partnering to get in contact.

Work would take place on a contract basis, with a commission paid by the Co-op for every delivery made, with the delivery partner or partners being able to levy their own charge to the customer.

Anyone interested can email the store manager on andrew.corrie@coop.co.uk.
