The government’s reminding businesses that time’s ticking on when it comes to tax returns.
The income tax division of the Treasury says there’s now just over a fortnight left to submit contractor’s and employer’s tax returns.
The deadline is on May 5, late returns face a £250 penalty charge, and firms can be fined £50 a day until the returns are submitted.
But there is a way to beat the queues in the rush to deadline - employers can now submit their tax returns online through the government’s website gov.im.
