New outlet in south has pedigree
A new coffee franchise outlet in Castletown has Manx National Heritage to thank for its opening.
The former site of the town's Social Security office overlooking the harbour, had previously been used as soldiers' quarters, a military library, a customs office and a police store before being restored by MNH using charity funds.
It's now been given a new lease of life as a Costa branch, which opened last Friday (21 October).
Fancy A Coffee Ltd, which manages Costa outlets in the Island, says it's proud to be occupying such a 'prestigious and scenic location' - and that the opening has created seven new jobs.
