Grate news for Manx manufacturer
Isle of Man Creamery has a new mark of distinction after joining an elite order of cheese producers.
Staff at the company have become members of The Guild of Cheese Graders - meaning they now have considerable expertise in the fields of flavour, texture, functionality and aging.
They were taught by visiting cheese expert Bruce MacDonald, who's also the Chairman of the International Cheese Awards and the Compagnon d'Honneur of the Guilde Internationale des Fromagers.
Creamery Managing Director Findlay Macleod believes such an education is 'an essential part of their business strategy'.
