A grass-roots charity campaign supported by Lloyds TSB has donated £1,000 to the Manx-based Friends of Robert Owen House.
The charity, which runs a home from home family house at Liverpool's Heart and Chest Hospital, has been named the winner in the latest round of Lloyds TSB's 'Small Change- Big Difference' campaign.
The award goes to a local group or charity which can demonstrate a long-standing involvement in community life.
The 'Friends' will use the cash to maintain and staff Robert Owen House, which provides accomodation for relatives and carers of patients at the hospital.
'Small Change - Big Difference' continues during 2010 and there are two more chances in September and December, for local groups of any size to win the £1,000 award.
