Assessor of tax Dr Malcolm Couch has told a gathering in Lodon that additional standards demanded of jurisdictions by any new bodies must be universally accepted, using the old level playing field argument.
Dr Couch was on a platform alongside director of the OECDs Centre for Tax Policy Jeffrey Owen and the man who recently completed a review of the Isle of Man for the United Kingdom Treasury, Michael Foot.
John Moss asked Dr Couch if, after the Foot Review and the 'triple AAA' reaffirmation from Standard and Poor's, he sensed a more affirmative atmosphere for the Island at such gatherings?
