Duncan Lawrie Private Bank has brought some much-needed good news to the Island’s banking sector.
After news of closures and job losses elsewhere, banking director Nigel Gautrey says the company is to expand its offices here.
He says acquiring the building next door to its existing offices on Mount Havelock in Douglas means the bank will effectively double its space.
Mr Gautrey says the extra office space will be marketed to start-ups and local businesses.
Known as The Forum, the initiative will see four hi-tech serviced office suites created, with a shared reception, interview suite and board room facilities.
