There was a drop off in passenger numbers through Douglas Harbour in January.
The total was seven per cent lower than in the same month last year, described by Director of Harbours Mike Brew as 'slightly disappointing' after the growth seen during 2007.
But Mr Brew adds that the return of the Steam Packet's fastcraft 'will increase passenger choice in a very competitive market place'.
Vehicle numbers were also marginally down.
