Dandara's safety link with school

Pride of place for pupils' winning designs

Pupils from a Douglas primary school have used their design skills to promote safety around building sites.

A competition by the Dandara Group saw youngsters from Anagh Coar school create posters to be put on display at the nearby Isle of Man Business Park.

Year 3 pupil Keira Leece's design was chosen as the winner - a scaled-up version of her poster, along with two others, have been installed at the new Zurich headquarters site.

The competition was run as part of Dandara's commitment to the national 'Considerate Constructors' community engagement scheme.

Contracts Manager Len Arnold, who also visited the school to deliver safety lessons, said the quality of the posters was testament to the children's understanding of an 'important' message.
