Online booking system wins applause
An Island-based travel and events booking website has been praised by Gandey's Circus for its handling of show ticketing.
VisitIOM.co.uk says it sold thousands of tickets for Gandey's five day run in the Island during the Easter holidays, using a new online event management system.
Circus organiser Peter Massera said the facility, which provides clients with rapid reporting data, "had made the whole experience seamless".
VisitIOM claims its event registration technology is unique in the Island, and has led to its appointment as official travel partner for this year's ISLEXPO, Southern 100 road races and IOM Aviation Conference.
Gandey's visit (28 April - 2 May) was part-sponsored by the Steam Packet Company, which sailed 11 articulated lorries to the Island.
Gandey's has hinted the big top may return to the Island next year.
