A small-scale fish processing business in Port St Mary has won an industry food safety accreditation.
Island Shellfish which supplies Manx queen scallops to UK restaurants and caterers has gained the SALSA award, which stands for safe and local supplier approval.
It's been designed for small and micro producers who can demonstrate to SALSA auditors their products are safe, legal and local.
Spokesman for the firm Nick Pledger said the award was a tribute to everyone in the team who played a part in meeting SALSA standards over the past year.
Nick hopes the recognition will help Island Shellfish drive awareness of Manx seafood throughout the UK to benefit the industry and the Island as a whole.
